It's been awhile...

I didn't realize I had been away from my blog this long! A lot has happened in the last 2 months that I just haven't taken the time. From my last post, I indicated that my Mom's health was not good...well, we have since learned that she has stage 4 lung cancer with brain "mets". It has been a rough 2 months that I just haven't bothered with anything. My sister in law asked me a blogging question last week & told her I would look into it & so here I am, no better time than the present to update too. I hope you are all well & maybe soon, I will have a new artwork post.

Where did the month go?

Well, I don't know about you, but September has flown by! I am in awe that there is only 1 day left of this month...where did the month go?

I have had a very busy month on a personal level as my Mom has been going through a rough patch with her health, but after yesterday's visit with one of her doctors, things are looking up. I have been trying to live a somewhat normal life in the meantime, but a few things have fallen through the cracks...but none of that matters, right? Right!

The artwork I am posting today, showcases our new Flip Flaps. If you haven't tried these yet, don't delay, get some! They take scrapbooking to a whole new level! This layout was one I just offered as a workshop & in order to keep the costs down, there are no embelishments other than a lot of fussy cutting! I hope you like!

Half Way There :(

Today's card is one of the 4 we made at my card workshop that was held at the Independent Grocer in Prescott on Friday night. I had a great turn out & with every workshop, I learn what to do or not to do with the next one.

This stamp is one of our cutest & was a SOTM in the summer idea book. If you didn't get your hands on this cute set, don't worry, it will be available again next year. The paperpack is Animal Cookies & has been "dulled" with our White Daisy ink pad.

This is the room before everyone arrived...

This is at the end of the night...half of the ladies had left before I remembered to get out my camera!

Next week I will post the last card of the workshop showcasing our Clear Acrylic cards so make sure you stop by!

Thanks for stopping by today!

What a yucky day out :(

Yes, I know it's not Wednesday & I promised myself I would post every Wednesday, but yesterday was the busiest Wednesday I have had in a long time! Then my husband took the laptop to back it up, so I couldn't have my usual computer time in bed...I had to read instead. Oh well, I wasn't up half the night for a change!

Today's artwork is another card that I am offering at my workshop tomorrow night. All the products used of course are CTMH. The B & T paper is from Animal Crackers & the stamp set is You're Great. Hope you like :-)

Where Has Summer Gone??

I can't believe next week is September! I have been out of school for over 15 years now, but I still get sad when this time of year rolls around :(

I have been busy with my family this week so I haven't learned anything new. I have one more card to share with you from convention. I hope you like it :-) It is made using one of our new paperpacks, Olivia as well as our new opaques.

Still Learning!

This week I learned a new thing! I managed to figure out how to create an email sign up sheet for my blog as well as my website! To all my followers, make sure you sign up to stay up to date on my blog posts from now on-when you sign up, you will receive an email whenever I post a new post! How cool is that!

Our newest campaign has started. National Stamping Month is September however, CTMH is celebrating early! The Triple Play kit contains 4 different colors of ink plus stamps, ribbon, three mini albums, and die-cut shapes to stamp on. This is a great opportunity to try stamps in scrapbooking if you’re new to it, and an easy way to enjoy the look of hand-trimmed stamped images without even touching the scissors. The three albums are built the same way and come together in a snap, but the three different color schemes make each one unique. Just follow the steps outlined on the full-color brochure included in the kit to create three mini albums you can keep for yourself or give as gifts this holiday season!

You can purchase the kit outright for $34.95 OR place a minimum order of $30 in My Acrylix stamps (excluding SOTM, WOTG or K-size custom stamps) & purchase the kit for only $15 ORplace a minimum order of $47 in My Acrylix stamps (excluding SOTM, WOTG or K-size custom stamps) & purchase the kit for only $5 & this promotion is available until September 30th. Visit my website shelleyb.myctmh.com today to order your kit today!

The card today is yet again one we made at convention using our new Acrylic Card bases. They come in a pack of 8 for only $10.50 plus taxes & shipping. They either have rounded corners or a scalloped edge.

Last Day for CTMH Appreciation Sale :(

Well today marks the end of a great sale...thank you CTMH for creating this incredible sale! I hope all of you stocked up on your favourites as these items are on the discontinued list & this could be the very last time you are able to get your hands on them. I am very sad to see Aspen discontinuing, I think that has to be my favourite paperpack of all time...but...that just means there is more room for new ones for me to love! Click here to head to this amazing sale!

So my artwork for today is another card that we made at convention. More than not, I always make 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards so this was definately stepping out of my norm! This is the size of a card that you would buy in a store & one that made me think out side the box. The stamp used for the corners is actually the same stamp you see in the middle creating the frames for the sayings & we just used the very tip of it! How versitile is that! It is also created with the new Christmas paperpack which I must say, I love too as the red print reminds me of fabric...another one of my "addictions"!

Ok, so today I learned how to create my signature & it is supposed to show up after each post...here's hoping! I have spent "all day" trying to edit yesterday's post hoping my signature would show up. Just as I was about to give up, I thought I would post a new post & voila, my signature showed up! I think I will call it a day though, this new learning can be overwhelming!

Welcome Back!

Wow...it has almost been a year that I started this blog & this is the first time I am able to go back to it :( That is sad! I am hoping that this will be a fresh start for me as I am committed to growing my business this year after the inspiration I received at this year's convention! I had a great time & learned so much that I can't wait to share with all of you :-) Take a peak at some of the photos I took while visiting Washington DC...

So, I am a newbie to the blogging as you know, so this blog is also all about playing around & learning the techniques. Here I have added "Artwork created by..." & that was pretty fun to do. You are never too old to learn new tricks! lol!!
